It's 1:10 PM PST on July 22, 2024 and our IMAP e-mail accounts are working once again (Apple Mail) on both of our iMacs after this morning's outage. Shaw webmail also works when accessing it with a browser.
But the e-mail accounts on my iPhone do not work at all. I've been using Exchange accounts on my iPhones through Shaw since 2011 without any issues.
So what is the problem all of a sudden? What has Shaw/Rogers changed?
Server is wm.shaw.ca configured as per this URL:
Worked perfectly for 13 years up until today.
Error message is "unable to verify account information". I have 8 different Shaw e-mail accounts on my iPhone and this happens on every Single account. Using very latest version of iOS 17.5.1.

That makes sense, if their "authentication server" was FUBAR -- not responding, or not correctly responding.
Are you still having this issue, or was it just "transient" ?
iphone, keeps asking me for password for exchange account, have never been asked this before, don't know the password, email not working from the iphone
@debbie89 -- yesterday (November 25, 2024) everybody using Rogers services (WebMail, E-mail, authentication to this forum) experienced an outage of the Rogers services.
Do you still have the issue?
Can you logon to the My Shaw Portal to change your E-mail password, if you don't know the current E-mail password?

Today is a new day, and the first day of the next 13 years. Are you OK? You should me. Maybe, restart everything (cable-modem, your own router, your computer, your devices, your Internet-connected "things").
I also cannot receive Shaw email on iPhone. As of Dec 1, still unresolved
I just closed all my apps and restarted my phone and all is working now. Maybe try this, good luck to you
I think this is related - I can't get IMAP incoming email to work. Using Thunderbird on Windows - settings have not changed and have been working for years. I tried changing various things, restarting, all the usual... IMAP just times out and nothing comes in. SMTP works to send email. I tried GMAIL on an Android tablet, and couldn't get IMAP to work there, either. Webmail seems to work okay.
@withheld -- what settings (host-name & port-number) have you configured into your E-mail client?
Without that information, none of the volunteers within this discussion forum can provide any assistance.
As you using any proxy-server or VPN service?
Can you use Shaw WebMail to preview your E-mail?
