I changed my email password on the Shaw website but when I entered it into the Mail app on my Mac it responded with "Unable to verify account password".
How much (or little) elapsed time between the password-change and the attempt to use the new password?
Can you please try again?
If you try to login to Shaw WebMail, does the new password work?
I don't know why this happens when the Shaw mail password is changed, but the solution seems to be to delete the Shaw account on the Mac side and add a new account. The computer then automatically connects to Shaw and downloads the Inbox/Sent/Drafts mail.
That’s what I’ve been doing for three days with no success. I think this is a Rogers F-up!
If I delete my account and then add it again, will I still have all of my old emails there?
@JBlackburn What do you mean delete your account?
@JBlackburn -- by "account", do you mean an "account" within your Mac Mail app? Each "account" will access a different mail-server, with different credentials, e.g. "JoeB(at)Yahoo" & "BJ(at)Gmail" IDs.
I deleted my account and indeed everything from my in-box disappeared, but I cannot restore/add my account. Possibly this is a Mail version issue?

What happens when you try? Error-messages?
