You can access your recordings using your Voice Remote by simply saying "Recordings".

PVR features and benefits

The TV Player PVR contains all the features and benefits that you would expect to find in a PVR including:

Ability to record up to 6 shows at once: With one TV Player PVR, you can record up to six shows at once. Set recordings, playback shows, and delete and manage recordings from all your Ignite TV devices.

Easy schedule recordings: Schedule a program, series, personality, or sports team to record. Specify record options to end a recording late, record only new episodes, or choose channel preferences (like HD). Plus, access all of your recordings or prioritize your series from the Saved menu in Ignite TV.

Watch in any room: Watch your recordings on any TV in the house. You can even start watching in one room and finish in another with multi-room PVR functionality.

Increased storage: With your TV Player (XG1v3 or XG1v4) comes 500GB of storage so you can enjoy plenty of storage space for all of your shows. Ignite TV also provides the ability to increase your storage up to 1.5TB.

Did You Know

When watching a recorded program, you can also press the Page Up and Page Down keys to skip ahead or back in five-minute intervals, which can help you get to the end of the show more quickly.

Scheduled recordings

Ignite TV has many options when it comes to scheduling recordings:

Easy scheduling: You can use the TV box and remote control to directly set your PVR recordings. You can also schedule your PVR recordings from the TV Player (XiD).

Episode/Series Recordings: The default option is to record only the episode of the program that you have selected. If the program is part of a series, such as a comedy, drama or recurring news or sports program, you also have the option to record the series. Learn how to schedule a recording with ignite TV.

Recording Start Times: The PVR is synced with the TV Listings. If a network starts a program a minute earlier than the on-screen program guide's scheduled time, the PVR will miss that first minute, unless you program the PVR to start a minute early. Start times may be adjusted on the Record Options screen.

View Recordings: To view your scheduled recordings, go to the Scheduled section in your Saved menu. This section will show you what's scheduled to record by day. Select the day you want to review and press OK to see programs and series that will record.

Scheduling Conflicts: If you set up more than the maximum recordings that air at the same time, you may be presented with a conflict notification. You can choose to record your new program and cancel the lowest priority program or just cancel the new recording request. You can always see what will record in your Scheduled Recording list under the Saved menu.

Power Outages: In the event of a power outage, only the recordings scheduled to record while the power was out will be affected. In this instance, you may see multiple segments recorded, as your PVR will attempt to record before and after the power outage. All recordings saved prior to the power loss are preserved, as are future scheduled recordings.

Stored recordings

Storage Capacity: Currently, the Ignite PVR can record up to 60 total hours of HD programming.

Keep Your Recordings: You can keep your recordings for up to one year, but you may need to erase some recorded programs from time to time in order to make room for new ones.

Did You Know

With Ignite TV you have the ability to have up to three (3) TV Players in your home. Each TV Player (XG1v3 or XG1v4) includes a 500GB hard drive. (Note: The Ignite Entertainment Box allows for cloud-based storage and does not have a physical hard drive for recordings).

Deleted recordings

Automatically Erase Recordings: The TV Player PVR will automatically erase programs when space is needed. The PVR will delete the oldest recordings first. However, you can change the recording option to save For 1 Year.

Delete Recordings: You can delete recordings by going to the Saved section and navigating to Recordings. Deleted recordings are located within the Recordings section - they can be found in the last row on the page. Learn more about deleting a recording on Ignite TV.

Recover Deleted Recordings: If you accidentally deleted a recording, no problem! Check the Deleted Recordings option in your PVR. Select the recording you wish to recover and select Recover to move it back to your recordings or select Delete Now to permanently delete it.

Parental controls

The TV  Player PVR will record the program regardless of the Parental Control settings. However, if a recorded program has a Parental Control lock, you will not be able to see or hear it without first entering your Locks PIN.
