Note: You won't need to use the Ignite HomeConnect app to ask for WiFi password or network details on Ignite TV. However, you’ll have to log in to the app at least once for this feature to work.

How to access

Want to find your WiFi password or quickly bring it up to share with friends or family? Follow these steps to show your WiFi network info on Ignite TV:

  1. Press the mic button on your Ignite TV voice remote, and ask for your WiFi password. Try saying any of these phrases:
"Show WiFi password" "What's my WiFi password?" "I forgot my WiFi login"
"My WiFi password" "Show my WiFi password" "WiFi network login"
"See my WiFi code" "Show network passcode" "What’s my WiFi information?"
  1. Your WiFi password and network info will come up at the bottom of your TV screen. This includes your Ignite WiFi Gateway and Ignite WiFi Pod(s) connection status, WiFi network name, and password.

How to lock access

Seeing your WiFi information on your TV is convenient, but it may not be ideal for everyone in your home to have access to it. Using Application Locks on Ignite TV, you can lock access so that a parental control PIN is required.

  1. With your Ignite TV Voice Remote, press and hold down on the Mic and say “Parental Controls”. Then let go of the Mic button.
    • You can also find Parental Controls under Settings on Ignite TV.
  2. On your Ignite TV screen, select Parental Control PIN, and toggle this option to ON.
  3. Enter your 4-digit Parental Control PIN or create a new one. Next, press OK.
  4. Enter your PIN again when prompted by the instructions on screen. Then  press OK to confirm your PIN.
  5. Toggle Application Locks to ON, select Ignite WiFi to lock access to the Show WiFi Password feature.

Now, your parental control PIN will be required any time someone asks for your WiFi details on Ignite TV.
