How to connect your Nintendo Switch to Shaw in-home WiFi
Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
Select Internet Settings.
The Nintendo Switch will search automatically for nearby WiFi signals.
When you see the list of available networks, select the network to which you are trying to connect.
If you are unable to find your network's name, move your Nintendo Switch closer to your Shaw modem or third party router, and press the Y button to search again.
If the network name is greyed out, this indicates that the network uses a type of security that is not supported by the Nintendo Switch.
If you are still unable to locate your network, this may indicate that your wireless network is not working properly.
When prompted, use the on-screen keyboard to enter the WiFi network's password (unless the network is open and does not require a password).
If you are using a Shaw wireless modem you will be able to find your network password by looking at the white sticker on the top of that modem*
The Nintendo Switch will test the Internet connection for you. Once the test is complete, select OK to complete the process.
If the connection test fails, an error code and message will appear which may help to diagnose and correct the connection problems.
