Two-step verification is a security measure for your My Shaw account. To ensure any sensitive information is protected, customers are required to set it up. Once enabled, certain sign-in attempts or account-related changes will trigger a 6-digit verification code sent to you via SMS or email. This code will then grant you access to your account.

Note: The My Shaw app is not supported on iPads. If you wish to access My Shaw using your iPad, you can do so via Safari or Google Chrome.

About two-step verification

Two-step verification is a great measure to keep your information safe.

  • You will be prompted to enter a verification code when you make certain changes in My Shaw.
  • When you choose to trust a browser or a device, you will not be prompted to enter a code for a period of 90 days. However, you will be prompted to enter a code again:
    • After 90 days.
    • If you’re doing high-risk changes to your account.
    • When you use a new browser/forget all browsers.
  • If you successfully provided a code and your session expired (120 minutes of inactivity), you will be prompted to enter a code again.
