Up to very recently, you were able to change the wifi channels for both 2.4 and 5GHz Wifi.
This was an awesome option as it allowed us to
a) switch the channel to a less congested one
b) change the channel for increased compatibility with older devices
As of yesterday, I can no longer access those settings.
Any ideas?
Did you add pods?
Reboot the router?
Check to see if the separate band check ✔️ Mark is missing.
Conctact Shaw, ask for the router to be re-provisioned.
Thanks for your reply:
But you can confirm that it should be possible, right?!
Thanks

- no pods added
- restarted the router, but a suggestion was made to do a pinhole factory reset... haven't done that yet
- where would I find the separate band check mark exactly?

The pinhole reset really cleans out tho old setting and such. not a bad idea if you are looking for a fresh restart.

Another way to connect with your Gateway: Type in 10.0.0.1 in the title pane, while connected to your network. From there you can make some changes to the Gateway including the band. You are advised to add a Ghz to the 5Ghz SSID. This is to ensure the individual bands are easily identified and remain discrete. I also suggest using a separate password as well.
Thanks, I already had reconfigured a few other things like the LAN subnet etc, will try the pinhole reset and see if that enables those option again! Thanks
Did a pinhole reset... No cure...
Everything is still greyed out with the message...
Wi-Fi Mode, Security Mode, Channel Selection, Channel Mode, and Channel Bandwidth are being managed automatically to help optimize your home Wi-Fi network and improve Wi-Fi coverage
Well no, you're doing the exact opposite... Anybody any experiences with Lightspeed?
@WouterS are you looking for the options through the modem UI or managing them through the app/web version? The options to make changes are now only available via the web/app.
All 3:
Thanks for the help.
